Tiger Woods Fart
On the 18th hole of the Buick Open a while back, Tiger Woods allegedly let out a rather vigorous fart. As a result, the Tiger Woods fart has given a whole new meaning to an oft-repeated phrase in the world of golf – and that would be “grip it and rip it.” And it in no way should it reach as a surprise – particularly to men and boys of all ages who derive enormous pleasure from all manner of fart jokes – that phrases such as “Tiger Woods fart,” “Tiger Woods fart video” and “Tiger farts” are popular search terms on the Web that day.
The Tiger Woods fart imposed itself upon the world during the 18th hole of the Buick Open as Tiger got ready to “grip it and rip it” in the fairway. It should be noted that Tiger Woods ended up winning the tournament that time. Now one has to wonder if Tiger Woods may commence believing that farting while golfing gives him marvelous luck. If that turns out to be the case, Tiger may have to start incorporating the consumption of beans into his pre-game regimen. Who knows, it could kill up starting a new trend among golfers – or among all professional athletes for that matter. And if it does, it would really be a gas.
Why do men find farts and farting to be so humorous? I don’t really know the retort to that question other to say that farts are, well, funny. And I have a sneaking suspicion that women also find farts to be rather amusing but don’t let on because to admit it would be considered unladylike.
From the time a boy discovers that farts exist, he derives a great deal of amusement from them. And this fascination with farts and farting continues on into adult life. If you care to watch the Tiger Woods fart video, you can clearly see that Tiger and his caddy, Steve Williams, find it to be quite funny. Of course they do – they’re guys.
This also explains the expansive popularity – and box office mojo – of contemporary comedic films, which are chockablock with fart jokes. Successful film makers like Judd Apatow know that bathroom humor is what his target audience expects and he delivers the goods with great relish.
This is not to say that farts and fart jokes are always acceptable. For instance, it would be considered very bad form for President Obama to break wind while delivering a major speech before the nation.
It would also be considered bad manners for a man to fart while on a first date with a woman. This is why the expression, “first date fart hold” has become popular among men who are eager to tag a woman while on a first date. It is not always an easy feat to accomplish, and one has to respect a man for undergoing a big deal of discomfort in the interest of impressing a lady.
Once they score to know them, though, it’s a different story.
