Building your own custom made gold clubs is a great blueprint to keep money on quality clubs. You can customize them to fit you specifically and thus improve your score. By following the steps below, you can build you own clubs for a fraction of the cost of purchasing clubs off the rack.

Custom Made Golf Clubs

Tools for Building: For personal club making, most of your tools are simple and inexpensive. Some of which you may already own. Some you can purchase at a hardware store. All of these are available at a golf supply store where you will purchase your golf components.

Epoxy- Slower curing works better because sometimes you may need to readjust.

Hacksaw- for cutting graphite shafts

Shaft cutter or plumber’s tubing cutter – for cutting steel shafts

Two-sided grip tape – There are 2 different types of grip tape. One requires mineral spirits and one requires water. I recommend the one that uses plain water because it is less messy and of course, doesn’t leave that terrible smell. My wife appreciates that too!

Sand paper: 150 grit for graphite and 100 grit for steel

Steel brush: To roughen the inside of the hosel of the club head. Mine came from a gun cleaning kit.

Masking tape

Vise

Rubber vise clamp: It secures the shaft without damaging it.

Custom Made Golf Clubs

Cutting the Shaft: (Tip Trimming)

Your shaft will come with instructions telling you how much of the tip to cut off. The more you cut off of the tip, the stiffer it will make the club. Measure appropriately and mark it. Use masking tape to tape the shaft off where you are going to sever. This keeps the shaft from splintering. Use a hacksaw to carve graphite shafts. For steel shafts, you need to use a shaft cutter (or tubing cutter) and you will not need the masking tape. Next we prep it.

Custom Made Golf Clubs

Prep the Shaft:

Insert the shaft into the hosel and mark the shaft at the top of the hosel. If the paint on the shaft is too thick, sand it slightly so that it will go in. Remove the shaft and carefully sand the shaft from the tip to the mark. Sanding the shaft makes the epoxy bond to the surface. Now it’s time to prep the hosel.

Custom Made Golf Clubs

Prep the Hosel:

Insert the steel brush into the hosel and maneuver it enough to rough up the inside of the hosel. This is very important because the epoxy will not adhere if the surface is too smooth. Trust me; you don’t want your head to go flying off! The only thing you want to see flying down the fairway is the ball. The next step is to install the ferrule.

Custom Made Golf Clubs

Installing the Ferrule:

Installing the ferrule can be a little tricky. Sometimes they fit very tightly but other times they go on easily. First you need to effect the shaft completely into the hosel. Mark the shaft at the top of the hosel. This gives a reference point to know if the ferrule is properly in place. Place the ferrule into a small bowl of warm soapy water to loosen it and execute it somewhat slippery. Now, place the ferrule onto the shaft as far as it will go with the small end pointing toward the butt-end of the shaft. This should feel very snug. There is a tool available that can be faded to install the ferrule, but I have always had success using the club head itself. I catch the club head and place the hosel onto the ferrule and shaft and push straight down. Sometimes it has been a little difficult, but I have always been successful. If it becomes too difficult, you may have to cut the ferrule off and sand the shaft a petite more. Use a utility knife to slash the ferrule off, but be extra careful if it’s a graphite shaft so as not to reduce into the graphite. And also be cautious while sanding because you don’t want to expose the graphite fibers. Once the ferrule is on, you will know that it is properly installed if the mark you made on the shaft is at the bottom tip of the ferrule. Now you can install the head.

Custom Made Golf Clubs

Installing the Head:

Once the ferrule is in place it will be time to install the head. Mix the epoxy very, very thoroughly. Liberally apply it to the shaft and inside of the hosel. Place the head onto the shaft and wipe off the excess epoxy. You may want to pay attention to the logo on the graphite shaft. It will be a matter of personal preference which method you would like the logo to point. Now accumulate a place to let the club set overnight. It is best for it to sit on the butt slay, with the club head pointing straight up. You will be able to proceed with the next step of cutting the length on the following day.

Custom Made Golf Clubs

Cutting the Length:

Once the epoxy has dried, you can now sever the butt-end down to your desired playing length. The proper way to measure a club is to place it with the sole of the club parallel to the starting measuring point. Measure up the shaft. The way that I like to do this, is to place the club face down on a counter top. Then I residence the sole of the club flush along the edge of the counter. Next, I measure from the edge of the counter up along the shaft to my desired shaft length. You can rob measuring devices to help with this, but I find this method works well. Now all you have to do is cut the shaft. Remember, to prevent splintering the graphite shaft, you need to place a section of tape around the cutting point before you launch cutting. Place the shaft in your rubber vice clamp and then into the vice. If the shaft is graphite, spend a hacksaw. If it is a steel shaft, you need to use a shaft cutter. Now you are ready to install the grip.

Custom Made Golf Clubs

Installing the Grip:

Now that the club is at its proper playing length, you can install the grip. As I said earlier, I personally prefer the water activated grip tape because it is noteworthy cleaner than using the tape that requires a solvent such as mineral spirits. Cut the tape the same length of the grip. Now status the tape on the shaft allowing a ½” to extend beyond the end of the shaft. This is to cover the hole at the end of the shaft. When the shaft is wrapped, remove the back side of the tape exposing the adhesive. To prepare the grip, journey the small hole at the waste of the grip. I use a tee. Now pour water or mineral spirits (according to which type of tape you spend) into the grip, put your thumb over the opening and shake well. Pour this onto the tape. Next, liberally spray the tape with the water or mineral spirits (again make definite to use the liquid recommended for the tape you are using). Flow the grip on. If there are any logos or markings on the grip, originate sure they are straight. This will need to dry a few hours or better yet, overnight.

Custom Made Golf Clubs

You now have your custom made golf clubs that you can be proud of because you made them yourself; of course, if you want to change anything or need to repair it because you threw it out of frustration, you can.

Tiger Woods Fart

On the 18th hole of the Buick Open a while back, Tiger Woods allegedly let out a rather vigorous fart. As a result, the Tiger Woods fart has given a whole new meaning to an oft-repeated phrase in the world of golf – and that would be “grip it and rip it.” And it in no way should it reach as a surprise – particularly to men and boys of all ages who derive enormous pleasure from all manner of fart jokes – that phrases such as “Tiger Woods fart,” “Tiger Woods fart video” and “Tiger farts” are popular search terms on the Web that day.

The Tiger Woods fart imposed itself upon the world during the 18th hole of the Buick Open as Tiger got ready to “grip it and rip it” in the fairway. It should be noted that Tiger Woods ended up winning the tournament that time. Now one has to wonder if Tiger Woods may commence believing that farting while golfing gives him marvelous luck. If that turns out to be the case, Tiger may have to start incorporating the consumption of beans into his pre-game regimen. Who knows, it could kill up starting a new trend among golfers – or among all professional athletes for that matter. And if it does, it would really be a gas.

Why do men find farts and farting to be so humorous? I don’t really know the retort to that question other to say that farts are, well, funny. And I have a sneaking suspicion that women also find farts to be rather amusing but don’t let on because to admit it would be considered unladylike.

From the time a boy discovers that farts exist, he derives a great deal of amusement from them. And this fascination with farts and farting continues on into adult life. If you care to watch the Tiger Woods fart video, you can clearly see that Tiger and his caddy, Steve Williams, find it to be quite funny. Of course they do – they’re guys.

This also explains the expansive popularity – and box office mojo – of contemporary comedic films, which are chockablock with fart jokes. Successful film makers like Judd Apatow know that bathroom humor is what his target audience expects and he delivers the goods with great relish.

This is not to say that farts and fart jokes are always acceptable. For instance, it would be considered very bad form for President Obama to break wind while delivering a major speech before the nation.

It would also be considered bad manners for a man to fart while on a first date with a woman. This is why the expression, “first date fart hold” has become popular among men who are eager to tag a woman while on a first date. It is not always an easy feat to accomplish, and one has to respect a man for undergoing a big deal of discomfort in the interest of impressing a lady.

Once they score to know them, though, it’s a different story.

But most women love men despite their fascination with farts even tiger woods fart…

Bunker shots are perceived by many golfers to be one of the hardest shots in golf, especially if you are just Starting Golf.

Yet if you were to ask any pro golfer, they would yelp you otherwise! The biggest challenge to successful bunker shots is to understand and implement the basic techniques required.

8 Expansive Tips to playing Bunker Shots!

Establish a firm footing – it is vital to establish a solid foundation when playing bunker shots to make sure that you can support the full swing without slipping or too considerable lateral movement. So nestle your feet in until you feel confident that you are fully supported. N.b. the longer the bunker shot, the more solid a foundation is required.

Hold an Begin Stance – this will benefit to restrict the length of the backswing and steepen the angle of approach to allow you more control and get the ball out with a higher trajectory. It will also benefit you to visualize the bunker shot better.

Open Clubface – make sure that the clubface is open at address to allow your Bunker Shots more elevation so they can drop softer on the greens.

Weight favouring left side – shift your weight to favour your left side, this helps to prevent too much lateral movement and so will give you more control.

Good Swing Plane – swing the club head outside the intended line and back along the same path, this will help to create a steeper plane to also assist with elevation and control.

Strike ball 2 to 4 inches behind – the sand will do the work for you, so aim to strike the sand between 2 to 4 inches late the ball.

Withhold clubface open through impact – make distinct that you keep the clubface open through impact to ensure the ball pops out with the required elevation.

Accelerate through the ball – make sure you complete the swing and are always accelerating through the ball at impact, slowing down will only leave the ball help in the bunker!

When it comes to golfing tips, learning to golf successfully is not something that you can really learn while playing a video game. This news is sometimes a crushing blow to those who have spent hours playing Nintendo’s Wii Sports but it is in fact the crushing reality. Learning how to play golf in real life is sometimes very complicated and will require that you pay close attention to the genuine rules and form. While learning from a golf instructor is a wise idea, there are a few mistakes that many beginners tend to make. Learning how to overcome these mistakes will greatly improve your chances of playing a wonderful game of golf and walking away from the green after a successful game.

Golfing tips for beginners

One of the biggest problems that beginners have when learning golf is they tend to look up when they actually go to strike the ball. This is a problem because it can result in a stroke being counted even if you did not hit the ball. You can just imagine how this can quickly add up to a horrible golf score. It is important to always scrutinize down until after you have hit the ball. To ensure that you do stay down until after the hit ensure that you retain your hips properly rotated. If you have trouble with this concept talk to your instructor for some specific tips to help you. Additionally, ensuring that you keep your arms extended fully while you are swinging has been known to help many beginning golfers. Your last step should be counting to five after you strike the ball before you look up. This will aid you pace yourself and help you avoid looking up too quickly.

Another common problem for beginning golfers is that many putts on the green are continuously missed. To help overcome this problem you should ensure that you are standing in the putting stance and looking straight down at the top of your ball. If you are not looking directly down, you are likely to miss the appropriate hit and your ball will veer off in an undesirable direction. Only look straight down at the ball when you actually putt and you will be looking at a much greater chance of actually hitting the ball into the hole without having to continuously putt and putt again.

Golfing tips for new golf players

Many new golfers also tend to have a problem with the ball going into the sides of the green, rather than straight ahead. While this may seem like a very complicated jam to correct, it is actually quite simple with a bit of patience. The first thing you always need to keep in mind is your stance. If you are not standing appropriately before you even swing the club, you are not going to have a successful stroke. You need to ensure that you are taking the time to carefully analyze your stance before you ever swing, if you notice that your club is not squarely touching the ball then you may need to assist up a bit to ensure that you are not hitting the ball from the side of the club. This is one of the biggest things that will throw a ball to one side of the green or another. Ensuring a solid, square swing will help your ball go to the desired plot with a bit of practice.

Hooking is one of the last major flaws that strikes at most beginners. This is something that can be quite difficult to correct as well. Some have a problem with their stance that causes the ball to hook, while others are gripping the club too worthy, causing it to hit the ball the wrong arrangement. Regardless of your scrape, taking a close look at your stance, as well as ensuring that you are not gripping the club too tightly should be quite great in correcting a hooked ball. Of course, once you have started making adjustments to your stance or even your grip, you need to practice a bit to improve your skills so whatever the golfing tips you receive it will be no good if you don`t practice….
